And yes I'm referring to some in the Fortune 500!
Branding isn’t simply about a good logo and flashy visuals; it's a lot more in-depth. Companies try to make their target have a unique, immersive experience when that influences their emotions.
Understand that the strife to connect with an audience is real; some companies do better than others.
APPLE
Why do people always choose Apple? Why is Apple a good example of perfect branding? It’s because Apple has invested a lot to ensure it brings new experiences to the world and makes human life easier with an ecosystem of interconnected products with simple designs, elegance, and innovation.
NIKE
No list of good branding is complete without Nike. Nike is an emotionally charged brand, constantly motivating their audience to ‘Just Do It’. I mean why am I writing this story in the first place?!. Nike has mastered the art of connecting with its audience emotionally, relating its products to achievement. Get a Nike Air Max, and you'll be dunking for days!
TESLA
We can all agree that Elon Musk has taken Tesla from complete mediocrity to extreme innovation. Their branding represents a sustainable future and a modern sleek aesthetic, breaking automobile and technological boundaries. They recently launched humanoid robots — shoutout to ‘I, Robot’.
COCA-COLA
Coca-Cola is a company that aligns itself with positive emotions and human connection. Come on tell me, when do you have the most coke? Christmas? Summer BBQ? Yeah me too if I liked Coke! I don't like Coke but I like the Coca-Cola brand! They have aligned themselves with a holiday when people are the happiest, if you’re down have a Coke, if you’re happy have a Coke!
SPOTIFY
What comes to mind when you see a green circle with three black lines? Spotify? When you see Spotify, what comes to mind is high-quality music paired with extreme personalization. As an avid Spotify user, I can say for sure that I've discovered music for all my emotions. They have branded themselves as a music platform that just ‘Gets You’. Honestly, I can’t wait for wrapped this year! To remind me of how weird my taste in music is.
STARBUCKS
Starbucks is a community-driven brand, you don't want to go home and you don't want to go to the office and you need a place to either work or chill, “the coffee shop” and it comes with a complimentary drink if you wish to purchase, this Starbuck’s ‘third place concept’, somewhere between home and work. Their branding centres around the experience they give their customers by providing personalised services, I mean they call out your name before they give you your coffee. (of course, you gave them that, but hey that’s how friends are made)
GOOGLE
Personally, I love Google’s free-for-all movement, almost every Google service is free or open source in some way. Their brand revolves around simplicity, innovation, and a promise of organizing the world’s information.
